Summer holidays, retreat, leisure & art activities in the south west of France
La Perdrix, formerly a 13th century monastery, comprises of a gated property with a large house and two cottages which can house up to 25+ people.
During July/August the property is mainly used for holiday rentals The studio/barn includes a host of ceramic equipment for those that might be interested in making something with clay.
From March to July and September/October we run courses and workshops in Arts and Ceramics but also encourage groups to utilise La Perdrix for their own events.
It is idealy located for leisure, health, arts, small weddings , retreats, music, cycling, writing , residencies, symposiums and other events.
La Perdrix is located on the outskirts of the village of Saint Martin de Riberac, Dordogne, France in a hectare of land with gardens and an above ground swimming pool.
We are once again inviting enthusiastic potters/artists or those wanting to learn, to join us for a week's raku workshop run by Mick Morgan. See Mick's web for more info
Learn to make and fire a gas fibre kiln. Discover application of oxides, coloured & crackle glazes and masking techniques.
Apply these to your hand built or thrown work and come away with your own finished & fired work and a wonderful experience in a beautiful environment.
Course content and introduction will start on Saturday 2pm on 14th July and will run till Friday 6pm the 20th July 2012
Friends and family who wish to come as well but may not want to do the raku workshop are also welcome.
